WoW! Let's Get Physical!

Parade Concourse on Cape Town Station is where it all happened.  Lovely views of the City Hall and beyond. Table Mountain is there, guarding over the city without fail.

We arrive in a trickle, we arrive in droves. Grey hair, stiffness in the gait, but looking forward to a day of fun.  Yes, we "old people" are quite capable of letting our hair down a little.

There were all sorts of angels to touch our lives: biokineticists, physiotherapsists, dieticians who gave educational talks, answered questions while also giving exercises on:
  • Strengthening and maintaining physical mobility
  • Exercises and tips to promote physical mobility
  • Healthy eating
  • Chair-based exercise
and then also Ilifa Labantwana - to talk about the first 1000 Days of early childhood.

Tea, coffee and sandwiches were served by interns

Then.....WoW!!  The WoW Dance by the WoW Team!  That proved to be a joyful occasion with lots of activity, lekker music, fun and laughter - some even won prizes for getting the WoW Dance right!

Finally, the day was closed and the Tank You's were done by Julie Fisher of the Western Cape Health Department.

.......but some more dancing happened.....someone forgot to switch off the music.....so more fun & dance!

The event was sponsored by Rand Merchant Bank and Premier Foods. Prasa were the hosts. It was an initiative of the Western Cape on Wellness Project
